Software Engineer – Intelligent Systems We are looking for a Software Engineer with knowledge in software development, autonomy functions, and automation. The Challenge: Research and develop machine learning, robotics, and automation approaches to solve real-world industrial problems Contribute to the implementation of research projects all the way to the technology transition into products Collaborate with Seimens business units to understand the problem requirements in order to create and deliver solutions to customer needs Advance the state-of-the-art in the field, including generating patents and publications in top journals and conferences Present and communicate project results and ideas to internal and external project partners or at conferences The Candidate: Qualified candidates will have: Masters in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience with standard software development processes, methodologies, and best practices (including requirements analysis, software architecture and design, and testing). Proficiency in C++ and Python. Experience in developing and deploying machine learning applications Knowledge of containerization, docker and CI/CD. Experience with cloud computing. Knowledge of embedded systems development, firmware, operating systems, computer architecture and hardware/software integration. Knowledge of automation technologies, e.g. PLCs. Excellent communication and technical leadership skills; need to explain sophisticated ideas and methods on multiple technical levels Preferred skills & experience: Background in Robotics: Practical experience with implementation and debugging of algorithms on real-world robotic systems. Solid knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, path planning and perception. Experience using ROS/ROS2.
