Job Responsibilities

？ Conduct pre-development of innovative powertrain systems and power electronics and electric drive components

？ Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany on project activities and competence development

？ Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products

？ Main responsibility includes

o Lead design and prototyping control platforms for product pre-development

o Lead design and implementation of software algorithms for electric drives and power electronics

o Coordinate and assist in performance and qualification testing of variable speed drives

o Assist and coordinate in-house and contract engineering resources to meet project schedule and objectives

o Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units

o Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction

Job Requirements

？ Master degree in power electronics, electric drives or bachelor degree embedded software design

？ Expert knowledge and practical experiences in power converter/inverter software design, simulation, rapid prototyping and experimental validation

？ Good knowledge with AUTOSAR architecture, TI/Infineon microcontrollers, CAN communication, ADC driver design, motor control algorithms and tools e.g. Simulink, C, Tasking, CANoe et al.

？ Knowledge and experiences with functional safety is a plus

？ Good knowledge with modeling of power converters, control design, simulation and tuning techniques

？ Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), speaking German is a plus

？ Good knowledge with certain level of experience on electric powertrain system and components e.g. inverter, electric motor, gearbox, as well as fuel cell system are preferred

？ International education and experiences is a plus

？ Efficient, goal-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work

？ Passionate for innovation; filed patents on qualified content during prior work is a benefit

？ Strong team player; open to work in an international environment
