The exciting and evolving field of Medical Physics within ELEKTA requires research and development in the areas of treatment planning, image reconstruction, dose reconstruction, medical image analysis, advanced calculation algorithms, optimization problems, artificial intelligent and much more.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in algorithm testing and implementation from the theoretical level to the clinical level. Interact with software engineering groups, the mathematical modeling and physical implementation of machine and patient quality assurance, dose calculation solutions, and clinical testing of new developments.
• Participate in design and development of new features for all the ELEKTA products, mostly concentrated in quality assurance solutions.

• Interact with selected customers, for software development, customer relations or troubleshooting (i.e. direct support) when needed.
• Provide support to the customer support organization.
• Provide support to the marketing and sales organization from the Physics perspective
• Perform data collection and/or beam modeling for purposes of algorithm testing, product development or to fulfill business needs (Work in a clinical setting with treatment machines is involved in this task).
• Conduct internal training of other groups in the company.
• Create documentation related to current or future products in the Physics related area.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics or related fields with at least 3 years of working experience. Or doctoral degree of other concentration, i.e. Mathematics, Physics, or Biomedical Engineering with strong mathematics, physics or imaging background.
• Must be proficient in using the personal computer and MS Office Suite, skilled in performing numerical analysis, and possess good communication skills.
• Coding experience in C/C++, python or Matlab is highly desirable.
• Experience with mathematical optimization of complex problems is a plus.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligent is a plus.
