Knowledge for the world of tomorrow. Digital Twins are the prerequisite of future engineering & development and the enabler of cutting-edge products. They integrate all data, models and other information of a physical asset generated along its life cycle leveraging business opportunities. Modeling, simulation and optimization play a major role in creating digital twins and are key to predict and optimize performance of physical assets from trains via rotary machinery to buildings and medical devices. That’s where you come into play! What part will you play? Be an active part of a highly diverse and successful team with outstanding team spirit Be an expert and shape research activities in the field of modeling, simulation & optimization for realizing Digital Twins Derive value from connected data and simulation data across multiple lifecycle phases Know and continuously screen the trends in your specific technical area and share your knowledge with impact on research roadmaps Initiate, plan and execute R&D (sub)projects with all Siemens businesses within given standards and processes Gradually take over further responsibility in the role of a project manager Explore new ways of working together with your team-mates and take part in hackathons and design thinking workshops in our Digital Twin Lab and collaborate with our Siemens business partners Select and supervise (PhD) students Generate and secure IP for Siemens via patents What you need to make real what matters. Successfully completed master’s degree in engineering sciences, mathematics, physics or computer science with very good results. PhD is a plus Advanced skills in simulation tools (FEA, CFD, Plant Simulation, Process Simulate or others), PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Simcenter, etc.), data & simulation and implementation (Python and C++) Willingness to develop into the role of a project manager for research and innovation projects, first experience in agile project management is a plus Several years of experience with project work in the industrial research and development context (definition, planning and execution) Curiosity in real-world industrial challenges Talent in managing customer relationships with the ability to listen closely to internal customer’s needs and requirements Business fluent English & German Open-minded team player with very good communication skills Proactive attitude and sense of humor What we offer. 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard Attractive remuneration package 30 leave days and a variety of flexible working models that allow time off for yourself and your family Share matching programs to become a shareholder of Siemens AG Location-dependent childcare services to combine family and career Find more benefits here Individual benefits are adapted to meet local legal regulations, the requirements of different job profiles, locations, and individual preferences.
