Main Duties:
Reporting to CEO,
(a) to undertake policy/strategic researches (both qualitative and quantitative), including the formulation of research plans and the methodology to be adopted;
(b) to identify and keep track of cases of significance, interest or learning points for the purpose of knowledge development and transfer;
(c) to identify research needs, undertake research and analysis of information, produce timely research papers/information notes and monitor the developments of major issues relevant to the organisation;
(d) to formulate ways to strengthen the capacity of the Research Unit in undertaking qualitative and quantitative research.
Requirements:
(a) a recognized Bachelor degree, preferably in social sciences or related fields;
(b) at least 15 years’ experience in independent research work, in public policy or social political issues, preferably in government and/or public sector such as higher education institutions and think tanks;
(c) good understanding and appreciation of current affairs;
(d) excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(e) very good analytical and communication skills, capable of working independently and under pressure; and
(f) excellent coordination and leadership skill.
