Database and Storage Lab conducts research to address latest challenges for database and storage systems. To support Alibaba's large-scale online services and rich business eco-system, we are working on highly impactful research problems on reliable, secure, intelligent, high-throughput, low-latency and globally replicated database and storage systems, for storing, processing, and analyzing massive scale data.

Our Database Security Team works on security issues in cloud databases, e.g., data confidentiality, data integrity and query authentication, with the core challenge to improve system security and data protection without sacrificing system performance.

岗位描述:
Database and Storage Lab conducts research to address latest challenges for database and storage systems. To support Alibaba's large-scale online services and rich business eco-system, we are working on highly impactful research problems on reliable, secure, intelligent, high-throughput, low-latency and globally replicated database and storage systems, for storing, processing, and analyzing massive scale data.

Our Database Security Team works on security issues in cloud databases, e.g., data confidentiality, data integrity and query authentication, with the core challenge to improve system security and data protection without sacrificing system performance.

• Identify and solve research problems in data and database security areas.
• Communicate with other projects/departments to collect emerging security requirements.
• Explore and develop practical database security solutions by exploiting and refining key technologies (e.g., SGX trusted hardware, homomorphic encryption, searchable symmetric encryption, cryptographic authentication, blockchain, and oblivious RAM).
• Publish research papers at top-tier conferences and journals.

岗位要求:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields.
• Publish research papers at top-tier conferences and journals in databases, distributed systems, data security or related areas.
• Creative, application driven, and willing to solve real problems.
• Solid programming and good communication skills.
