Job Description

First opened as Townhouses and later used as a boarding house in 1858 at No 10 Queen Square by local builder Soloman Francis. It was later re-opened with much celebration as the Francis Private Hotel in 1884

This role is 3 days in Reservations,undertaking reservations agent duties and 2 days in Front Office, undertaking Reception duties.

This role would suit a friendly, bubbly person. You will be able to keep calm under pressure, be confident, organised and maintain high levels of customer service.
A Reservation Agent working with The Francis - MGallery Bath will always provide exceptional service to our guests, whilst supporting the front of house team.  Our ideal talent will preferably possess the following attributes:

  • Previous reservations, and or, front office experience in a similar size of property
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Committed to delivering a exceptional service
  • Impeccable presentation standards
  • Ability to work on your own and with both the Front Office and Sales and Marketing departments
  • Competent level of IT proficiency

The Role

  • Welcoming Guests
  • Supporting front office and delivering exemplary service to our guests.
  • Responsible for reservations over the phone, by fax, internet or e-mail and handles all associated operations
  • Increases and optimises room sales in line with the brand and hotel's sales policy
  • Follows up the administration of reservations thoroughly, ensuring smooth check-in operations for the front desk team
  • Ensures every enquiry as a sales opportunity
  • Presents the brand and/or Group's loyalty program to customers; adapts the sales pitch to each customer
  • Handles reservations by applying the various step-by-step processes defined by the brand
  • Enters reservation details precisely and correctly
  • Ensures that information is passed on to the people concerned
  • The management of group reservations, late cancellations / no shows blocks
  • Maximises every sales opportunity to reach & exceed departmental budgets
  • Communicates and cooperates with the other hotel departments
  • Helps optimise occupancy and average room rates
  • Respects and applies the hotel and brand's pricing policies
