RESERVATIONS COORDINATOR

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
  • Assist with group reservations. Set up and monitoring of group blocks. Input rooming lists, assist with call INS, and other reservations related links. Work with meeting planners and internally with sales and conference services on group details, cutoff dates etc.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions or making recommendations regarding to shopping, dining, or entertainment.
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' account.
  • Verify customers' credit, and establishing how the customer will pay for the accommodation.
  • Compute bills, collecting payments, and making changes for guests.
  • Establish and follow up on payments in regards to no-shows and last minute cancellations including following up with front office, sales/conference services and accounting that payments have been processed.
  • Assist in setting up commission payments
  • Make and confirm reservations.
  • Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
  • Post charges, such those for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls, to ledgers manually or by using computers
  • Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
  • Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required.

Qualifications:

  • University degree/diploma in hospitality management is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Reservations Agent in a similar environment is preferred
  • Must have strong knowledge of Opera, CRS, and, Property Manager and Sales Net
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications is required
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Sitting 6-8 hours a day
  • Light Activity
