Reservations Coordinator

As a Reservations Coordinator, you act as a key liaison to potential guests of Fairmont. You will be responsible for ensuring all guest requests pertaining to reservations are handled in a timely manner while also maintaining rapport with customers. What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
  • Respond to all guest requests in person, via email, or via phone
  • Ensure revenue is maximized through up-selling
  • Respond to questions about the hotel’s amenities and services
  • Quote room rates, room availability, and booking policies
  • Book room reservation requests and enter rooming lists
  • Apply billing parameters to reservations in accordance with client and business needs
  • Communicate amenities and available services
  • Process Travel Agent commissions and research past due commission claims
  • Shifts may include weekends and holidays
  • Assist with other tasks as required and where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests

 

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management an asset
  • Previous experience with CRM (Opera) and MFR (Opera CRS) systems
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish an asset
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel necessary
  • Ability to suggestively upsell products and services
  • Ability to create and maintain organized records of customer information and data

 

Physical abilities:

  • Remain in stationary position (sitting) for 6-8 hours throughout work shift

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
