Job Title:
Sofitel New York is looking for a motivated and excited Reservations Coordinator to join our Reservations team! What you will be doing:
- Answer reservations phone and create/modify/cancel bookings as necessary while liaising with our guests
- Cross-reference all reservation bookings to check accuracy for all third party billing, arrival and departure dates, guest profiles, room blocking, special requests, traces, and ensuring stellar attention to all VIP guests
- Review Arrivals/Reservations Entered reports daily and make adjustments as needed
- Process special billing requests and commissions weekly
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail
- Processing of no shows, facilitating communication between all departments involved
- Test calls to competitive set hotels and Global Reservation Center
- Liaise with Sales team in coordinating group bookings
- Set up group room blocks, rooming lists, billing, or special notations and make group reservations against room block
- Monitor room inventory and notify Reservations Manager of any immediate changes
- Run daily reports and complete daily shift task list
- Assisting with other duties assigned
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, travel agents, Global Reservation Center agents, and other parties associated with the reservations process
- Participate and adhere to Accor Hotels Policies & Procedures
- Complete office administrative duties where required
Your experience and skills include:
- Must be fluent in English (speaking/reading/writing), proficiency in French a plus!
- At least two years prior luxury hotel experience with a minimum of one-year experience in Reservations.
- Working knowledge of the following: Property Management Systems (preferably Opera or TARS), Central Reservation Systems, Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Candidate must be positive, motivated, kind, team player, well organized, efficient and informative
- Quick learner
- Punctual, enthusiastic, and detail oriented, thorough
- Be able to work effectively in a collaborative office environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work as a contributing member of a team as well as independently
- This position is Not Remote.
- The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
- Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
