Reservation Manager
Inspiring and engaging. As a Rooms Manager, you will show your leadership and interpersonal strengths to maximize the Reservation Operations, and ensure an exceptional guest journey.

 

Your experience and skills include:

 

- Must display strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Previous experience as a Reservations Manager in a luxury hotel or resort required
- Experience in the New York market an asset
- Must be flexible with the ability to sustain a high level of productivity and efficiency at all times.
- Proven leadership, organizational and guest service skills.


What you will be doing:

- Select, train and evaluate the performance of all reservation staff.
- Responsible for the creation of department and individual incentive programs.
- Ensuring daily tasks and checklists for all reservation colleagues are completed.
- Provide leadership, motivation, training and support to the Reservations Department including Reservation Sales Agents, Tour Coordinator, Corporate Reservations Coordinator and Group Rooms Coordinator.
- Ensure the maintenance of the training manual for the Reservations Department.
- Conduct monthly department meetings and weekly briefings.
- Ensure all Reservation Sales Agents are well trained and informed of all rates, promotions and corporate programs such as Reservations Plus and Fairmont President's Club.
- Maintain a close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments.
- Conduct regular audits of GRC (Global Reservations Centre), GDS, Third Party Sites, Property Manager, MFR (CRS) and Sellweb to ensure accuracy in rates, packages, promotions and availability.
- Ensure the accuracy of TA commissions both actual and forecasted.
- Creation and distribution of the weekly and monthly reports.
- Participate in weekly revenue management meetings and report preparation.
- Assist with ensuring all Sell Level changes and revenue strategies are administered in MFR/PM
- Scheduling of the reservations staff in accordance with business demands while adhering to the payroll budget
- Ensure all OXI interface issues are addressed
- Set a leadership example for the department in professionalism and striving to exceed guest expectations on a daily basis.
- Problem solving and coaching staff in situations to ensure that guest expectations are exceeded.
- Attend pre-convention meetings as required.
- Responsible for all communication between GRC and the hotel; including the updating of Sellweb and GDS information.
- Ensure the Reservations office adheres to all health & safety standards
