Responsibilities:

• Have daily site walk at the construction site and provide site observations
• Attend routine inspection of site works independently and check works compliance against specification requirement, drawings, approved method statements and report to site engineer for any observations
• Support Senior Civil / Structural / Geotechnical Engineers in monitoring and checking site works for piling works, slope works, construction of building substructure & superstructure, bridge substructure & superstructure, drainage, sewage, temporary works, etc
• Support the checking of the interfacing with Electrical and Mechanical and Building Services works
• Participate in SSEMC, SSEC and construction meetings
• Maintain site diary and records

Qualifications and Experiences required:

• Diploma from Technical Institute in Hong Kong, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline with 11 years relevant post-qualification experience; or Higher Certificate from Technical College in Hong Kong, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline with 12 years relevant experience inclusive of 9 years relevant post-qualification experience; or 4 years appropriate experience as IOW in a Government or quasi Government project
• Good understanding of the construction works and with experience in assisting Engineers / Project Manager on all aspects of supervision of civil works on site within the contract
• Able to work under demanding environment and tight programme
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• May have irregular working hours and the actual arrangement will be determined by their supervisors
• Immediately available will be preferred
