Resort Experience Operations Manager

Responsible for all aspects of managing Legacy Events and Special Events and Experiences on property.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop event plans, continuously monitor program execution, performance and objectives and provide relevant post event recaps that showcase event ROI and effectiveness. 
  • Demonstrate bigger picture understanding of marketing strategy and can translate how data insights/tactics associate with longer-term strategy objectives
  • Align and work collaboratively with Marketing, PR, Retail, F&B, Rooms, Engineering, CCS, HR, and outside vendors to effectively manage and grow assigned events
  • Support achievement of sales growth at a rate and profit margin consistent with the strategic business plan
  • Create, communicate & manage to strict timelines for new and existing events
  • Use internal/external data and metrics to maximize experience and financial success 
  • Oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes selection, work allocation, training, performance and development. Coach and motivate team to achieve key results
  • Communicate the status of each project to appropriate internal division heads
  • Maintain a high standard of communication with events teams on programming and changes 
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must have five (5) years of experience in executing the logistics of events within a fast-paced team environment with strong attention to detail while managing event teams
  • Working knowledge of Marketing, Retail, F&B, Concessions a plus 
  • Experience booking entertainment, acting, performing, and dancing  a plus
  • Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required
  • Must have Maricopa County Food Handlers Card and AZ Liquor Server Certification
  • Must be fluent in Timesaver, Excel, Word, Publisher, Micros, Opera 
  • Proven ability to drive sales results through a strong level of business acumen
  • Demonstrated success in talent development/management
  • Availability for varied weekly shifts including weekend, closing, holiday, and peak shifts
