Reporting to the Director of the Welfare Council, the incumbent is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing strategies for the institution’s corporate partnership, resource development and fundraising plan. He/she will responsible for deliberating conceptual approach and partnership programs and suggest ways to establish and strengthen relationships with donors, funders and partners to build loyalty and raise resources, whenever appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and implement strategies for the institution’s corporate partnership, resource development and fundraising plans as aligned with and contributing to the institution’s overall mission and vision;
- Explore and identify new partnership and fundraising opportunities; expand and diversify the funding base and build new relations with prospective partners and donors;
- Conduct SWOT analysis at corporate level on a regular basis to develop new resources and /or establish resources retention strategies as deemed appropriate;
- Manage various aspects of external partnership program, including developing project content, managing staff, maintaining budget and timelines;
- Equip staff with the ability and mindset to build network themselves and leverage those corporate and individual relationships to greater collective impact ;
- Deliberate and execute niche events in conjunction with service teams for branding as well as fundraising for target services;
- Manage the data base of small and major donors and prepare reports and information for donors regarding their engagement and support for the Welfare Council ;
- Make cold call / follow-up phone calls to potential donors appealing for donation support and sponsorship;
- Work closely with service teams within the institution to identify their needs, conceptualize their new initiatives and find their niches to attract donations and build new partnerships;
- Work closely with PR & Communication team to prepare speeches, press release, features and correspondences as co-ordinate publicity and social events for the promotion of the Welfare Council fund-raising programs /events.

Requirements:
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above from a recognized university in Marketing, Business Administration, Social Science or related discipline;
- At least 8 years’ experiences with proven track record in marketing and sales. Experience in corporate relationship and fundraising in charitable organization are an advantage;
- Innovative, open minded and proactive with “think out of the box” attitude;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese languages;
- Good at proposal writing and ability to explain complex issues and present proposals in appealing and concise manner;
- Demonstrated ability to respond proactively to unstructured environments and navigate challenging situations and relationships with creativity and diplomacy;
- Ability to identify, develop and establish new relationships with potentials for partnership and donation
- Sociable, meticulous and demonstrate capability to work collaboratively with colleagues, consultants and volunteers;
- A reliable, open minded and forward thinking person and able to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects;
- Less experience candidate will be offered as Resources Development Manager.
Two-year contract will be offered as a start. Candidates with satisfactory performance will be reappointed to permanent post after the first contract.
