It has been agreed that our AstraZeneca UK Commercial head office will move from Luton to Pancras Square, London in early 2022. This role will be initially based in our Luton office, until this move takes place.

Our move to Pancras Square, London offers us the strongest possible platform to transform the lives of patients in the UK, as the country’s leading biopharmaceutical company. It will bring AstraZeneca UK closer to our customers and partners in the UK’s healthcare environment, as well as develop greater collaboration with the wider AstraZeneca footprint.

What you’ll do

  • In this role you will sell AstraZeneca brands to healthcare professionals based within Hospital Trusts and key partners within Primary Care Networks (PCN’s), to maximize opportunities for practice change at scale by collaborative working, whilst representing AstraZeneca’s high ethical standards.

  • You will engage with key hospital and senior primary care partners to expand sales volume and share through business-to-business selling

  • Generate customer / account insights and create account plans (Trusts and PCN/Cluster/Federation) to increase the number of patients on AZ brands

  • Work with the cross functional team and with AZ customers to identify and deliver opportunities for practice change at a population level

  • Develop and drive advocacy, clinical consensus and support Regional Healthcare Managers (RHMs) on enhancing market access (formulary and guidelines) for the brand/s

  • Accountable to deliver and exceed sales targets for allocated brand/s

  • Accountable for the development and delivery of the account plan

  • Accountable for effective territory management – e.g. understand local NHS priorities to develop and execute effective call plans

  • Deliver against all agreed individual and team metrics in order to achieve Account goals, investing resources and budgets in line with agreed plans / expenditure. You will ensure impact from resource invested.

  • Demonstrates and maintains high level of clinical, therapy area and environmental knowledge

  • Ensure compliance with all AZ Governance frameworks, SOPs and the ABPI Code of Practice

Essential for the role

  • Successful sales experience, including primary and secondary both F2F and via virtual platforms

  • ABPI qualified (unless new to representative role).

  • Full driving licence.

  • Qualified to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent.

Desirable for the role

  • Knowledge of the customer and therapy area within area of responsibility.

  • Strong IT and analytical skills

  • Degree qualified.
