Job Description

The iconic Beverly Hilton is looking for a General Manager of Restaurant & Lounge to join the Food & Beverage Team!

Since 1955, the hotel has hosted memorable moments etched in history from dazzling red carpet events to celebrity galas and we want you to be a part of the team who combines the excitement and entertainment of Hollywood with the prestige of Beverly Hills.

This Forbes 4-Star hotel has over 500 rooms, 60,000 square of feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 restaurants, a lounge, and in-room dining.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a talent for training and developing others and the ability to drive the operation forward through innovation and creating memorable experiences. A seasoned leader with a background in upscale restaurants and excellent wine knowledge is required. Prior experience managing a union staff and working in a luxury hotel are a plus.



What will I be doing?

As a General Manager of Restaurant & Lounge, you would be responsible for directing and administering the activities and services of the restaurants and bars in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Proven strong financial knowledge oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, beverage and labor costs, profitability.
  • Must have strong Food and Beverage knowledge
  • Advance wine knowledge is recommended
  • Initiate and implement up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all F&B products served
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and incentive reward
  • Create and maintain customer database and partner with Dir of F&B on marketing strategy
  • Support with new activations and programming
  • Developing a positive relationship with guests and experience with VIP clientele
  • Set an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all times
  • Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Establish positive work culture
  • Execute the brand vision
  • Maintain a very strong floor presence and interact with guests
  • Anticipate the needs of the outlet and act upon them
  • Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with labor standards set by hotel
  • Drive a culture of service excellence, pride and hospitality
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
  • Interview and recruit right talent for the outlet
  • Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, skills and product knowledge
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
