The opportunity:
AIA’s People and Culture team are looking for a Return to Work Advisor to provide best practice and comprehensive case management using evidence-based strategies to drive successful return to & recovery at work outcomes.
You’d play a critical role in providing early intervention and return to work services to support the early and safe return to the workplace. This is a 12-month max term contract with the opportunity for extension beyond that and we are accepting applications from Sydney and Melbourne.
To do this successfully you will:
Proactively manage return to work (work & non-work injury) in line with current legislation across multiple states; including planning, implementing, and monitoring return to work plans
Liaise with workers compensation insurers, providers, and relevant regulatory bodies
Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to implement strategies and work collaboratively to ensure effective claims and injury management
Manage injury management and return to work database
Oversee and participate in claims reviews with relevant stakeholders
Reporting on progress and status of workers compensation and non-work rehabilitation programs
Successful applications will have:
Outstanding communication skills, including effective influencing and negotiation skills
Relevant workers compensation and injury management experience (minimum 2-3 years)
Return to work certification
Knowledge of work health & safety and Workers Compensation legislation
Tertiary qualifications in a health discipline (desirable)
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
