Job Description

 

 

Mantra Epping is a new 214 room hotel in the thriving area of Epping, located 35 minutes north of Melbourne CBD. Situated only moments from Melbourne’s Wholesale Markets, we aim to capture the hearts of our local clientele through genuine service and market-fresh produce. The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will act as a Reservations Manager and Revenue Analyst, who will be responsible for ensuring that the Reservation Department runs smoothly, and maximizing revenue so that the hotel’s budgeted and projected revenue targets are met. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, this role has the power to own and influence ways of working through continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Key responsibilities

Reservations

  • Ensuring the correct procedures are followed for receiving, processing, and confirming hotel reservations in order to maximize profits.
  • Maintains an efficient reservation process.
  • Take lead of the customer journey by communicating daily with other departmental leaders to ensure smooth overall guest satisfaction.
  • As the first point of guest communication with the hotel, the Reservations Manager must ensure that the department maintains the highest level of guest satisfaction, contributing to the hotel NPS & RPS score.
  • Maximize business opportunities by working closely to influence key stakeholders.

Revenue Analyst

  • Maximise revenue to achieve budgeted and forecasted revenue targets.
  • Focus on trend recognition, demand anticipation and opportunity analysis.
  • Develop and implement systems, practices and tools aimed at these revenues through balancing demand and revenue maximization techniques.
  • Maximise market performance to achieve RGI, MPI goals.
  • Ensure optimal presentation and maximization of business opportunities through brand websites, 3rd party websites, CRO and GDS.

 

About you

  • Experience as a Reservations Manager is preferable.
  • Revenue Experience is not necessary, however it is essential you have a solid background in front office or reservations and strong understanding in revenue management.
  • Prior experience in reservations and Property Management Software in particular SiHot/ Resaweb/ Dataweb is desirable.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all forms of written communication.
  • The ability to take lead of the customer journey by communicating daily with other departmental leaders to ensure smooth overall guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
