Job Description
Job Summary:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, including policies & methodologies systems. Work with departments across organization lines to improve processes, tools, and guidelines as appropriate. Work within broad policies and objectives with supervision for unfamiliar or critical tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and maintain best practice policies, methods, tools and systems for identification, measurement, mitigation and management of the risk in ADB's lending and treasury operations.
• Develop and enhance tools, process and guidelines for rating of nonsovereign borrowers and transactions.
• Train staff on risk assessment and credit rating of nonsovereign borrowers.
• Enhance the methodology for pricing of nonsovereign transactions
• Enhance the credit risk model and methods for stress testing assets and income
• Enhance policy and methodology for determining capital requirements and allocations.
• Undertake research and analysis on various risk issues and develop solutions which balance the risks against meeting ADB's goals and client needs.
• Consult with operations departments to identify risk issues and develop solutions that satisfy the technical or business need.
• Interpret policies and provide guidance to bank staff on various risk management matters.
• Review policy and transaction documents prepared by other departments.
• Participate in other special projects to meet risk management requirements.
Education Requirements:
• A university degree in Finance, Economics or related field; preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.
Relevant Experience
• Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
• At least 6 years’ experience of risk management, underwriting, origination or supervision from a financial institution, rating agency, credit insurer or bank supervisor.
• Practical experience from bank examination and/or supervision
• Practical experience in implementing frameworks for economic capital and loan loss provisioning.
• Strong project management and execution skills, including the ability to effectively drive complex, multifaceted matters to conclusion in an aggressive timeframe.
• Knowledge of emerging best practices in risk management, capital adequacy, disclosure, income recognition and loan loss provisioning
• Strong analytical capabilities; strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and highly flexible team environment that relies heavily on cross-functional interaction.
• Strong computer skills, including extensive experience with analytical tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in formal (e.g., presentations) and informal (e.g. team meetings) settings.
