The opportunity:
The Risk and Governance Specialist is part of a small team of internal consultants who play a critical role in first line risk representatives for AIA Australia’s Health Insurance business. This is a 6-month max term contract and we are accepting applications from Melbourne and Sydney.
To do this successfully you will:
Develop relationships with key stakeholders including the Distribution team members, Product Managers and Customer Operations team for Health, in addition our IT, Marketing and Finance teams
Assist in delivering and implementing the Risk and Compliance plans for the Health Insurance Business Unit
Manage risks within the Health Insurance Business Unit on a daily basis
Drive the Health Insurance Business Unit to develop and implement controls and to test whether these controls are effective. Uplifting controls post testing where required
Develop innovative and improved operating practices for control design and testing
Assist in monitoring the risk profile to identify, understand, escalate and report on issues, incidents, and changes in the business
Provide support to understand and mitigate the risks of change from projects and other initiatives (Risk in Change).
Successful applications will have:
Sound knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, methodologies and approaches with a specific focus on control design, implementation and testing
Strong understanding of health insurance products, distribution models, and relative Regulatory requirements and Codes of Practice
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including demonstrated experience in coordinating input from a number of contributors
Effective consulting and stakeholder management skills.
Sound influencing skills required to engage with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
