Job Overview
 
World class trucking manufacturer looking for a Robotic Programming Engineer to manage and improve quality and capacity increases. Candidate should be goal oriented and have an undisputed will to succeed in this position. Person attaining this position will report  to Paint Manager and work closely with analytical data to create current and future state of equipment and uptime.   
 
Responsibilities
 
- Evaluate current Robotic Programs for improvement opportunities in both quality and in capacity increases.

- Knowledge of Kawasaki (Kroset) and Fanuc Robots a must.

- Provide Engineering expertise in integrating equipment, systems, materials, facilities and processes in meeting performance metrics and TOS objectives.

- Coordination of Capital projects which includes researching vendor sources, request quotations, select vendors, developing justification, writing AFE, set due date, issue requisitions (coordinate with Purchasing), schedule tryouts, trouble shoot and approve equipment.

- Analyze areas annual Capital Spending Plan for project feasibility and implement as deemed necessary in regards to SQDCME.

- Assist in strategic planning by evaluating processes and identifying potential improvements Oversee pre-series and product changeovers in area and report on findings.

- Compile, analyze and respond to employee suggestion forms as required.

- Assist with Continuous Improvement plan for Operational Unit.

- Maintain plant layout for area, develop alternative layout solutions to improve process flow, material presentation, material delivery, etc.

- Review production transport, material delivery and storage requirements. Design, specify, order, and coordinate fabrication of required carts, dollies, racks, etc.

- Review production tooling and fixture requirements.

- Design, specify, order, and coordinate fabrication of required tools and fixtures.

- Maintain all ISO-9001 related documentation related to Mfg Eng to insure compliance.

- Establish and maintain visual management of ongoing (hot) projects.

- Ensure engineering practices comply with government regulations and safety standards.

- Assist facilities maintenance in troubleshooting/supporting manufacturing. Review and update preventive maintenance procedures on automated equipment, and be instrumental in implementation and maintaining TPM on all equipment.

- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience OR an associate's degree with 4 years of related experience OR 8 years of related experience required

- At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required

- Must have Kroset (Offline Programming) experience

- Must have TPM knowledge and implementation
