The Robotics and Auto-Driving Lab (RAL) of Baidu Research is looking for candidates with strong robotics or autonomous driving background. We aim to build a multi-disciplinary research team that combines expertise in robotics, machine learning, computer vision, human-robot interaction, NLP, graphics and simulation to study holistic solutions, as we strongly believe that the most significant advancement comes from the cross pollination of different areas.

Attention: This position will only interview in Pittsburgh, New York, L.A. & Berkeley.

• Research, design, implement and evaluate novel robotics algorithms for real world problems
• Participate in software prototyping, experimental evaluation, and technology transfer
• Contribute to a portfolio of patents and academic publications
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to drive scalable and efficient implementations

• Expertise in at least one of following robotics areas (perception, decision making, planning, control, state estimation, human-robot interaction, NLP, simulation, machine learning, and deep learning)
• Good programming skills in C/C++ and/or python
• Familiarity with ROS or other robotics middleware
