Job Description

Calling on your sound knowledge of motion planning, decision-making or autonomous systems, you will join our agile team to develop and improve concepts and algorithms, implement and evaluate them in a simulation environment and perform testing with real test vehicles.

A key aspect of autonomous driving is to be aware of the current local environment.
We develop new state-of-the-art environment perception algorithms to accurately detect and track surrounding objects and obstacles based on measurement data of multiple sensors.

Our Autonomous Driving Campus offers the perfect infrastructure for successfully developing innovative software for the cars of the future.

 

What awaits you?

  • You care about writing clean and reusable code and test.
  • When developing algorithms, you adhere to design patterns and keep the overall software architecture in focus.
  • Integration of the algorithms in a distributed software architecture means that much of your work will entail collaborating within a large team of experts.
  • Your tasks will also include implementing development tools for simulation and testing.

 

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in computer science, robotics or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in motion planning, decision-making, reasoning, control theory, optimisation, prediction or reinforcement learning, ideally involving vehicle applications.
  • Practical knowledge of agile software development and object-oriented software design principles.
  • Expertise in programming with C++, ideally with Python.
  • You will ideally also have development experience with Linux and ROS.
  • Experienced in dealing with complex build environments and continuous integration.
  • Business-fluent English and German skill is an advantage.
