About the team.

Every Rolls-Royce motor car is hand-built to customer order at the home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. Our Interior Trim Production Team are responsible for the main interior trim components fitted to all Rolls-Royce vehicles including seats, door panels and instrument panels. We’re looking for a placement student to join our team and run a technical project with the aim of helping us modernise our processes.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Daily problem solving with Process Leaders (simple and complex)
  • Large technology/systems based projects to improve the leather cutting and physical logistics processes
  • Regular presentations to management on project progress and problem solving
  • Administration of Key Performance Indicators and reaction plans when red
  • Facilitator of regular efficiency workshops, to continually improve the way that we work (Kaizen methods)
  • Studying towards a degree in Engineering or Technology
  • Full proficiency of Microsoft office suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations
  • Some knowledge of problem solving tools (i.e. Ishikawa Diagram, 5 Whys)
  • Knowledge of Kaizen methodology would be beneficial
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible with production requirements is essential (good stress management)
