Function

To maintain the up keep of the general appearance of all guest rooms, paint and wood work, plumbing, heating, furniture and fittings in accordance with the set standards.

 

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 4-5 years general handyman – preferably in hospitality

  • Must have relevant painting, tiling, plastering, plumbing, woodwork and electrical experience

  • Must have experience in the repair and maintenance of RFID door lock sets

  • Must be flexible in regards to working hours

  • Should be a motivated individual

  • Team orientation

     

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the quality and standards of the Westin are always maintained.

  • To carry out inspections of guest rooms from a maintenance point of view in accordance with policies and procedures

  • To attend to reported defects as noted in rooms and when necessary liaise with relevant artisans

  • Maintain high standard of workmanship and occupational safety

  • Maintain a high standard of appearance and integrity at all times
