This role could be for you. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Rooms Division Manager to join our team in Lorne.
 

Mantra Lorne is set on 12 acres of landscaped grounds and boasts 277 accommodation rooms, rolling luscious lawns and is only a 10 metre walk to the beach. Onsite facilities include lawn and synthetic tennis courts, croquet court, golf putting greens, indoor pool/spa and steam rooms. Restaurant, bar and 12 conference spaces for up to 600 delegates.  This amazing environment gives you the opportunity to provide outstanding service, develop your already existing wonderful skills, work with like-minded individuals and be mentored by great Mantra leaders.

 

Working as the Rooms Division Manager you will be responsible for the Front Office operation, Housekeeping and Maintenance. Balancing a high level of guest satisfaction with a focus on controlling expenses will be the key to ensuring the financial success of the department.

 

Reporting directly into the General Manager, you will possess following characteristics and skills:

  • A demonstrated history of achieving financial targets and working within a budget;
  • Knowledge of SIHOT PMS will be highly regarded;
  • Experience in coaching and developing a team, recruitment and performance management;
  • Sound organisational, time management and computer literacy skills;
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a high level of service culture and engagement within Front Office, Maintenance and Housekeeping;
  • Developing and implementing revenue initiatives;  
  • Overseeing the Housekeeping department, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure product is in line with guest expectations;
  • Overseeing the administration of PMS, Guest Accounts, AR and Guest Ledger;
  • Effective liaison and communication of forecasts, business plans and end of month accounting procedures;
  • Ability to handle all complaints immediately, courteously and satisfactorily;
  • Relieving the General Manager in their absence.
