What you will be doing:
- Take ownership of guest requests by phone and ensure follow up according to the hotel’s standards
- Have a working knowledge of all departments, in particular Front Desk, In-Room Dining, Reservations and Concierge
- Serve as a liaison for guests requiring information relating to all aspects of the hotel
- Take room reservations and enter rooming lists
- Assist at the front desk when needed with guest registration and departure processes
- Have full working knowledge of the hotel’s emergency procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Service focused personality is essential
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:
- Frequent sitting throughout the shift when working over the phone
- Constant walking and standing throughout the shift up to 8 hours when assisting front desk
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
