The Role

 

 

Mars New Zealand have an opportunity for a S&OP, Demand and Activity Manager to join the Supply Chain team. The scope of this role is broad, you will be accountable for the leadership and governance of the S&OP+ process, leading the demand team and associated processes to drive continuous improvement of forecast accuracy and bias and ensuring the activity team are commercially effective and expert project managers. This is a critical leadership role within our organisation playing a big part in strategy deployment and achievement of business objectives

 

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop the Demand and Activity Management team (5 associates) to achieve high performance on a foundation of engagement, building the right capability within the team whilst driving high quality execution and continuous improvement
• Govern the overall Mars New Zealand S&OP+ process to;
  • Maximize the devolution of decision making within each sub process/step enabling efficient and informed decision making
  • Build clarity on how each step interacts with the other whilst linking into the regional processes
• Working with the regional/global S&OP community to drive ongoing process improvement and alignment of key processes to deliver overall business objectives
• Educating the business to embed world class S&OP+, Demand and Activity Management processes and outcomes
• Ensure best practice Demand and Activity Management support for the business (resource, skills and capabilities) in alignment with Marketing, Sales and Supply

 

The ideal candidate

• Experience in large scale program management and managing/prioritizing complex projects
• Excellent knowledge of S&OP+ / Integrated Business Planning processes
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, strong business acumen, process management and experience in building effective teams
• Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement sustainable business change
• High degree of self-direction with ability for innovative ways to perform tasks effectively and efficiently
• Proactive, detailed-oriented, results-oriented and willing to initiate and nurture change
