Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provides technical support and administration of SAP products including SAP ERP, BI, Solution Manager, SRM, SCM, LiveCache, HANA, Oracle, SAP LaMa, SAP JAVA Stack, Redwood, Fiori, SAP Web Dispatcher, Adobe Document Services.
  • Installs and maintains SAP software including upgrades, database administration; kernel patches, OSS Notes and support packages.
  • Responsible for system troubleshooting, problem solving, application capacity planning, tuning and root casue analysis.
  • Liaising with Global Helpdesk and support teams to resolve business critical problems.
  • Performs day to day monitoring and administration of SAP systems.
  • Provide 24/7 on call support on a rotational basis.
  • Works closely with SAP Functional team to ensure complete and coordinated enhancements to SAP environments.
  • Participates within the Federal Mogul Information Systems organization to establish standards for SAP infrastructure, operating system, database administration, and Basis practices.
  • Fulfill departmental requirements for reporting, personal development and information security.
  • Ensures operational compliance requirements and perform technical reviews for the SAP landscape.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


EDUCATION: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: · 4+ years of hands-on SAP experience supporting business systems on Unix and Microsoft platforms with Oracle DB providing infrastructure/Basis support.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • SAP product installation and upgrades.
  • Knowledge & experience of SAP system copy and refresh processes.
  • Applying support packages and other patches/OSS Notes.
  • Oracle database, Windows UNIX – AIX & LINUX knowledge.
  • Operations expertise in SAP systems management including NetWeaver implementations, technologies and common support issues.
  • Support out of hours’ activities such as patching and be the key technical contact during the exercise.
  • Compilation and implementation of documented technical support processes and procedures (System refreshes, Support Stack Application, Relase Management)
  • Correction and Transport System (TMS) ChaRM configuration & administration.
  • Knowledge of configuring Solution Manager.
  • Backup and recovery procedures for disaster recovery.
