The Senior Finance Systems Analyst is a full-time role to provide finance systems support and process enhancement to the BSI Americas Finance user community. This is the Shared Service Centre for the Americas and Finance business partners community across the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. As a member of the Finance Systems team, you will work on the roll out of new SAP processes and new finance technologies chosen by BSI to bring increased control, automation, simplification and convergence. There may be occasional travel to USA, Mexico, Brazil and the UK.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as the project manager of medium size projects: engage with stakeholders, build plans and monitor progress
  • Liaise with other BSI systems teams for dealing with system integration issues
  • Work on BSI Group systems and processes roll out and localization project: engage with the local accountants from the Americas’ region, develop an understanding of their requirements, map them to BSI group processes, identify gaps and propose solution. Manage user expectations.
  • Deliver SAP FI/CO and other finance systems configuration
  • System test, manage UAT, document system configuration and processes, develop work instructions and deliver ad hoc training
  • Act as first line of support for the SAP finance user community: Resolve incidents working with the helpdesk tool (Remedy). Liaise with other Finance Systems team members /other BSI systems teams to resolve queries/problems
  • Support users in their daily, month end and year end processes using SAP
  • Perform regular system maintenance and data cleaning, for month end and year end
  • Engage with SAP finance users to identify requirements, develop training material and perform user training
  • Maintain both system/process documentation and work instructions
  • The finance processes to be supported are Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Billing and Management Accounting

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

  • B.A. / B.S. from a four-year college or university or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance systems experience including hands-on SAP configuration expertise in FI/CO modules
  • Experience in SAP localization for tax, regulatory reporting and billing; in the US and Canada as a minimum
  • Very good practice of SAP Finance processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP finance data tables and ABAP query techniques.
  • Good knowledge of integration between SAP finance and SAP sales and distribution
  • Experience of creating systems specifications, documentation and user work instructions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment; demonstrating adaptable and solution-oriented approaches.
  • Excel and word: advanced level
  • Self-motivated, creative and able to operate with minimal direction and in a global multi-cultural environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
