Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, SAP Leonardo Machine Learning and IoT across SAP’s product portfolio. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are looking for DevOps engineer with strong problem-solving skills and communication skills. Successful applicants will have a strong ability to learn, combined with the tenacity to solve problems independently and a strong focus on the details required to create first rate software and cloud service.

In this position, you will:

• Help operation team resolve customer problems from developer perspective
• Develop software from cloud service view and focus on cloud service
• Design user experiences starting from low-fidelity prototypes
• Implement, revise and polish your designs to produce a shipping product
• Focus on Software quality, performance and scalability
• Develop your skills in implementing browser-based user interfaces in JavaScript and/or writing server-side logic in JavaScript and Java
• Build a strong foundation in relational database concepts
• Contribute innovative new ideas to shape the product
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and user assistance developers
• Work closely with a distributed team over several international locations
• Work with a group of committed, driven and talented software developers and architects who are passionate about that they do

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline
• 0 - 3 years working experience in software
• Experience on architecting and deploying Web services on SOA platforms like Azure and EC2
• Best practices on operational processes, DevOps, deployment checklists, and more
• Experience with highly virtualized shared infrastructure, platforms, or applications architecture at a large enterprise or service provider
• Extensive knowledge about RESTful services and integrate with other data providers
• Experience in UI development using JavaScript
• Experience developing on Windows, Mac, and/or Linux
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Experience with Java, Node.js, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML, HTML5, and/or full-stack development is a plus
• Significant hobby programming experience (including personal projects, hackathons and programming contests) would be appealing
• Strong academic performance (for recent graduates) is preferred
• Proficiency in English language; daily communication will be done in English
