Siemens US Talent Acquisition: IT Solution Architect & Service Integrator for Logistics Execution and Warehousing Position Overview Join our team now at Siemens Corporation as an ITSolution Architect and Service Integrator for Logistics Execution and Warehousing Applications. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. The candidate will be reporting to the department manager/chapter lead or designated IT manager for all personal development, growth, or any other personal matters. The role is an individual contributor role and does not have any direct reports. He/she will be working in an agile environment, supporting multiple agile team and projects, guiding the solution design case with his/her expertise. He/she will align the deliverables with respective service owners and will provide effort estimates when needed. He/she will work closely with other architects to define optimal solution and support functional development by the teams. He/she will provide functional process clarification/support for any cybersecurity or system audits. Key partners for this position include Product Owners, Service Owners, and Value Center Head. Measures of success for this position: service availability, quality of the IT solution (ability to integrate, to maintain, to re-use, to change/scale and develop the IT solution), Customer/User satisfaction, and IT Security (vulnerability). Responsibilities As an IT Solution Architect and Service Integrator, you will be responsible for: End-to-end Logistics Execution and Warehousing solutions, including SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP WM(Warehouse Management). Designing and implementing IT solutions and suitable architectures and developing functional and technical designs for Sales & Distribution/Logistics Execution and Warehousing Applications. Ensuring the integration of IT solutions in the company’s ecosystem. Providing business and procedural system knowledge, and software and application solution expertise according to respective modules/products and legacy systems. Successfully serving as point of authority and/or source of technical concepts and functional knowledge for area of expertise. Making configuration changes in SAP SD and SAP WM modules, including testing application developments. Documenting functional and technical specifications, impact analysis, test scripts, training materials. Working with ABAP development team developing reports, user exits and debugging. Preempting potential problems and providing effective solutions in reaction to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes. Providing consulting on project/program opportunities, and on the development of solution/approach on the most complex projects and complex change requests. Providing oversight/approval of changes made in the relevant domain, including SAP SD and WM. Providing support to all levels of business partners, IT peers, and management. Identifying and evaluating technical options for improving IT solutions, and providing innovative solutions not limited to SAP technology/applications. Performing trend scouting and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement, in SAP and other tools. Supporting our local and global logistics communities in addition to the business units. Learning the designed solution and contributing to the continued evolution of our environment and processes as our business requirements change. Ensuring the appliance of market standards and re-usability. Coordinating delivery, integration, and interoperability across multiple IT services and suppliers. Minimizing risks inherent in multi-sourced approaches and masking the service complexity from consumers perspective. Following the Siemens standard methodologies and processes. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience BS/BA 10+ years of successful experience as functional SAP professional, experience working in SAP, in logistics’ domain, including application or solution integration. In-depth knowledge of Sales & Distribution/Logistics Execution and Warehousing processes (focus on outbound logistics). In-depth understanding of the SAP system’s functionality, and configuration, and integration points of all modules in their business area – including SAPSD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP WM(Warehouse Management) modules – and related business processes. Experience with all SAP SD and SAP WM submodules (including RF functionality, and Waves/Queue Management), and knowledge of key integration points with other SAP modules, including SAP MM (Materials Management). Experience with multi-time zone, multi-language, and multi-cultural environments. Well-developed communications skills; able to clearly and concisely express technical information (or data) to non-technical associates, business partners, peers, and management. Ability to see and develop abstract ecosystems; Sound IT architectural competencies, extensive IT integration and design skills. Deep technical skills & breadth of IT experience (wants to be a technical expert). Innovation orientation (disruptive influencer); keen on technology, stays up to date on technological developments. Output orientation. Analytical skills, problem-solving skills, Data Analysis, process digitization and application integration skills. Strong team player, strong collaboration, communication, and lateral leadership skills. Good English communication skills and ability to fluently converse in English. Willing to travel, when necessary, potentially up to 20-30%. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Education: advanced degree, e.g., Master’s degree in relevant field. Knowledge of key integration points with other SAP modules, including SAP PP (Production Planning) Knowledge of SAP TMS (Transportation Management System). Knowledge of SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). Experience with global rollouts and global SAP template deployments. Experience with Merger & Acquisitions (carve ins / carve outs). Experience with interfaces including but not limited to EDI processing, Biztalk, PI, etc. Experience with SAP HANA DB including working with HANA views.
