The cbFC North America Hub is responsible for finance processes and methods in NAFTA region. cbFC ('common basic Finance and Controlling') is Daimler's global SAP based IT system for accounting and controlling processes for production entities. The team maintains and develops cbFC and acts as 2nd level support between key users on business side and the 3rd level support located at headquarters in Germany. The goal is to deliver best-practice business processes to the cbFC user community. Besides regular support activities the team is running various projects to implement solutions for new business requirements, is driving various continuous improvement initiative as well as full-blown roll-out projects of cbFC to new legal entities.
Responsibilities
- Manage cbFC support activities for Purchasing Accounting for cbFC NAFTA entities (SAP MM - from Purchase Requisitions to Invoice Verification).
- Work with the respective Finance & Accounting key users on process and system related issues as well as with Level 3 support on the resolution of incidents.
- Work on local changes requests and implement new system functionality provided by the cbFC Template.
- Facilitate communication and know how transfer to the key users of respective areas.
- Support cbFC implementation projects and other business driven projects with cbFC and Purchasing related expertise and knowledge considering efficient and effective processes and methods and strategic corporate goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and recommend process changes (local changes in process, local changes in upstream legacy systems, or changes in the cbFC Template) and work with local management to design go-forward processes.
- Provide strategic and operational direction by advising on the impact and effect of process and system changes, and develop recommendations to support successful implementation of business changes.
- Perform regression testing in area of responsibility to ensure system and process stability for NAFTA locations.
- Close alignment of projects and other initiatives with the global support team in Stuttgart.
- Bachelor’s degree (with a degree focus in accounting, finance, business administration or information systems management preferred) from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year of related experience required

- Ability to drive projects through implementation required
- Ability to analyze established processes and to design new processes required
- Ability to communicate deficiencies and propose solutions required
- Willingness to focus on process improvement, standardization and continuous improvement of existing processes required
- Team player focused on adding value and achieving results required
- Ability to work independently and ensure follow up and completion of relevant tasks and projects required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Advanced experience working with SAP ERP systems, specifically SAP-MM and FI preferred
- General in-depth understanding of SAP preferred
- German language is a plus preferred
