The SCC provides support to the APAC presales organizations in the various countries. On day to day basis you will work closely with presales counterparts on a wide range of tasks, the major parts of which are:

• Responding to Customer Requests for Proposals; Providing commercially savvy answers to solution/product questions posed by customers to aid their selection of new products/solutions

• Developing custom demos for specific customer opportunities. Translating the customer requirement into a scenario to show to the customer. Developing these prototypes in a very short timeframe

• Delivering product training to partners over the web

• Answering technical (pre-sales oriented) questions about Oracle’s products and solutions

• A significant portion of your time will also be used to stay up to date on the latest product releases & Oracle’s strategy. This is done through self study, online training, classroom trainings depending on the topic.

To fulfill the role of a Database pre-sales consultant, we are looking for individuals that match the following profile:

Technical/Non Technical:

Must:

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of Database - strong preference for DBA background

Optional

• Have MYSQL experience
• Database development skill base on PL/SQL
• High Available, backup, performance-tuning skills on Oracle DB.

• Better have Java/SOA/Rest API development experience,
• Understanding data migration, ETL, data warehousing, BI/big data is highly regarded
• Ability to use Oracle Enterprise Manager or others database or platform management tool is highly regarded
• Competitive product background (e.g. Azure,Amazo AWS,Mainframe, DB2,Sybase,Shakra,DB Safer,CubeOne,Vormetric,Tivoli,SAS) and knowledge is highly regarded
• In-depth knowledge of OS(UNIX/LINUX) & N/W highly regarded

Others:

• Total experience: 8-15yrs
• Work experience in a similar role is an added advantage
• Fluent English both oral and written
