The Intralogistics organisation is responsible to establish, lead, support and develop logistics solutions for the various IKEA units that have a logistical and fulfilment component, including the development and innovation agenda of intralogistics at IKEA global. In practical terms, Intralogistics shall lead and educate in creating concepts, processes and solutions for IKEA Handling and Storage as well as to act as centre of expertise for all establishments of logistics units around the globe. The organisation is in strong lead towards a more mechanical and automated goods handling.

Qualifications

Projects & Implementation is responsible for executing assignments to the highest satisfaction of the service requester, whilst keeping the customer, the supplier, total IKEA and total cost development at heart. Part of the deliverables includes managing the project documentation, i.e. producing project reports to the Portfolio Management detailing project resource management, project status, budget control, etc.

About the assignment

As the Project & Implementation Manager you will, among other tasks:

  • Develop the Project and Implementation department.
  • Responsible for quality, standardised methodology, tools and reporting for all projects
  • Build relationships with franchisees and other IKEA companies through IKEA way of doing business, based on co-operation, trust and transparency
  • Lead by example, and focus on coaching and motivating leaders and co-workers
  • Responsible for the development of the Intralogistics Service Offer
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of Intralogistics
  • Drive leadership and development: identify skill gaps, plan training to upskill the team enabling them to meet the short and long term business needs.
  • Secure a transparent and sustainable information/communication flow throughout Intralogistics and to stakeholders
  • Be accountable to secure that department resources are used in an optimal way to support business goals
  • Contribute to professional and long-term relationship with franchisees and other IKEA companies through IKEA way of doing business, based on co-operation, trust and transparency

About you

As a person, you have a strong passion to guide the organisation into the future, having a strong drive in the field of logistics, digitalisation and automation. You have leadership skills to lead business and people in a global assignment. You have the drive to develop your team managers, co-workers and yourself to deliver excellent results. You strive to obtain a good collaboration and interaction with a big number of various stakeholders in various IKEA units and externally with the Intralogistics suppliers and development partners. Moreover, you have a desire to find new ways and make them happen through engaging and motivating people. You go the extra mile and find new solutions to enable IKEAs journey to become a true Multichannel Retailer. Last but not least, you have a genuine interest for supply chain, as well as technological and IT development connected to intralogistics.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • Senior managerial and leadership experience, preferably gained in IKEA supply chain and based on the IKEA key values.
  • The desire and capability to be a great communicator and by this build trust and relationships to handle multiple stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Capability to represent IKEA towards external suppliers and to be an IKEA ambassador in everything you do.
  • An Intralogistics background with a high focus on solution and process-oriented project management
  • A passion for Intralogistics and a strong knowledge and understanding of the IKEA processes, organizations and supply chain.
  • A desire to do things differently and challenge current ways of working and the ability to move with speed and direction
  • Fluency in English
