Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
Purpose:
To protect and develop DAMCO business with accounts under area of responsibility
General responsibilities:
- Live the company value and demonstrate the company culture.
- Act as an ambassador of Damco when dealing with external parties.
- Build up effective relations with local vendors and clients
Ensure the communication within the team is effective and promote team cohesiveness in day-to-day work
- Keep and improve team KPI together with team leader.
- Assist team leader/group leader in all aspects of her job and share the experience to all team members.
Specific responsibilities of the position:
- To execute the operation process according to SOP and client instruction within deadline for Damco
- Build effective relationship with local vendors by proactive engagements
- Continuously develop and improve the operations within the team, as well as supporting other team members
Ensure that the SOP and KPI requirements are met with minimum use of resources
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of DAMCO business systems
- Control and improve the performance of internal suppliers GSC / Docman by proactive action, e.g. weekly review, conference call.
- Make suggestions to Supervisor on how to optimize our service by changing existing operation procedures.
- Actively assist TL/GL in approaching vendors to promote our Value-Added Service (VAS).
- Dialogue with overseas offices for operational issues and reply to inquiries from overseas offices within 24 hours.
- Ensure timely billing and no outstanding payments
- Proactively assist in solving challenges within customs clearance procedures, trucking, storage, etc.
- Support the enrolment of new projects, including value-adding services, Document Check, with an open-mind and self-initiative
- Co-ordination with carriers to ensure client receives priority treatment
- Actively come up with valued suggestion to our client to save client cost and improve client satisfaction even SOP no mention
- Have the “whole team” mind-set and ownership, can voluntarily support other team members task when exceptional case happens; share with others for operation knowledge and experience in weekly meeting
Be prepared to take on extra assignments as directed by Team Leader/Group Leader on ad- hoc basis
Develop relationship with the new shippers/consignees about the new client implementation.
Continuously explore the business development opportunities by offering the right Damco product and services with the proper value proposition.
Upselling value-add service such as trucking/CHB to shippers and meet origination trat
Measurement / success criteria of the position:
- By the actions, initiatives and successful stories related to our core culture throughout the year
- Through the survey result of team spirit and the support to other team members
- By customer service survey result and comments from customers and vendors
- By KPI ratio of team both for Data & Document part and no penalty related to KPI
- No service failure in daily operation and productivity enhancement contribution
- Outcome of team’s project’s rollout
- Control and feedback from GSC, warehouse, Damco and finance department.
- By initiative assistance for project rollout.
