ABOUT THE ROLE
Role and Responsibilities
- As a Senior BI Architect, will be responsible for resolving any issues reported by the business users and delivering all enhancements as required by business users.
- Candidate must be experienced in solving architecture concerns on a large scale.
- Responsible for overall Micro Strategy architecture design and standards Lead Micro Strategy Development
- Evaluate new MSTR features, and provide direction to implement the same Lead or participate in Proof-of-Concept projects
- Stay current with emerging industry trends Skills- 9 years of experience with MicroStrategy Architecture, Schema, and Development Data warehousing concepts.
- Capability to Work on creating project estimates and resource planning.
- Adeptness to optimize for the best performance and scalability requirements using MicroStrategy technology against a RedShift database.
- Extensive experience in developing reports, dashboards, and cubes in MicroStrategy version 9.x Solid understanding of Data Modeling concepts Technical team management experience including offshore team members
- Hands-on development maintenance experience in Microstrategy 9& 10.10Knowledge Experience on enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by business users, alerts via mail, mobile based on pre-defined events
- Ability to create technical requirements as an input to Schema Design & application design.
- Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by team lead/project manager.
- Responsible for reviewing solutions designed by the team members and proposing improvements.
- Responsible for proactively working with business users for identifying and resolving recurring issues in the application.
- Play role of mentor to BI team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Should be able to design Data modelling & Dimension Modeling
- Gather business requirements, elicit technical requirements, prepare report specifications
- Experience of working in Sales & Marketing Portfolio, in LifeSciences Industry is desired
- Architectural experience on Application development ( Schema Design, Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, data marts, scorecards, KPIs), maintenance in Microstrategy 10 (at least on version 9.5),
- In-depth technical proficiency in using major components like command manager, Enterprise manager, MSTR Office, Operations Manager, System manager
- Good conceptual knowledge on meta data creation framework, creating report specifications, integration test planning & testing, unit test planning & testing, UAT & implementation support
- Strong knowledge of quality processes, SDLC (waterfall as well as Agile methodology), Review, Test, Configuration Management, Release Management, Defect Prevention
- Experience on enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by business users, alerts via mail, mobile based on pre-defined events
- Knowledge on version upgrade process
- Exposure to any one of the reporting tools like BO,Cognos, QlikView
- Have Insight on cutting edge technologies like Amazon RedShift, Big Data, Hadoop, Hive
- Knowledge on new features of the product and performance tuning
- Ability to supply to proposals taking ownership of the BIDW solution
- Understanding of ITIL processes and Application life cycle management.
- Good understanding of GXP and SOX requirements. Should have working experience in a validated environment.
- Should be aware of release governance processes and have experience in working on any incident management tool.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in English. Excellent spoken and written skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work in large and teams with varied strengths.
- Ability to be a great teammate
- Experience working in a globally distributed team
