RWS is looking for an experienced SEO Specialist. It is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Experience (DX) team on a fixed term 12-month maternity cover contract.
We require a person that is passionate about DX, site performance and effectiveness. The ideal candidate has implemented and managed SEO processes and practices within large organizations. Responsible for all aspects of SEO-related content, researching, editing and optimizing content aligned with company and team objectives. Working with the wider marketing teams to produce content that is engaging and satisfies users across multiple access points.
A specialist in keyword and competitor analysis with working knowledge of SEO tools.
Experience with CMS systems, HTML and CSS and be able to work with the development team to ensure site structure and technology infrastructure are optimized for SEO.
This is a full-time position.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the RWS SEO strategy
* Helping maintain content standards, guidelines and procedures, including editorial calendars and our CMS as needed.
* Help with all stages of the content cycle - researching, creating, editing and publishing.
* Ensuring that RWS’s content fits with the brand and exhibits expertise, authority, and trust – through research and content editing.
* Ensuring content satisfies user intent by being insightful, useful, relevant, engaging, and ultimately more helpful than any other content.
* Helping keep content debt and entropy to a minimum, auditing as needed.
* Performing relevant SEO workflows and deliverables as it relates to content:
o Keyword Research
o On-Page Optimisation (titles, H1s, URLs, etc)
o User Engagement & Experience
o Content Briefs and Audits
o Reporting
* Leveraging appropriate SEO tools and internal data sets for monitoring, insights and recommendations.
* Working with the development and content management team to advising and reviewing to ensure clean HTML markup, site structure and taxonomy.

Ideal Qualifications:
* Demonstrable track record of improving content for the web and a passion for researching, editing and creating content.
* A degree in Communications, Journalism or Technical Writing is preferred, but equivalent experience will be seriously considered.
* 3+ years of experience with creating and/or editing content for the web.
* SEO knowledge and experience required.
* HTML experience is required and a good overall understanding of website technologies. React web framework, Tridion and WordPress experience is a plus.
* Excel experience is required; experience with using or building macros a plus.
* UX or UI for SEO experience and best practice knowledge.
* Quantitative and pragmatic qualities a plus.
* Experience with industry tools and analytics a plus: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Keyword Planner, SEMRush, Moz, Screaming frog.
* Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e., Photoshop and InDesign) or other image editing software a plus.
