RWS’ Marketing Solutions practice was formed in 2016, as part of SDL to productise existing language and rich media content management and adaptation services that had been delivered to clients in an ad hoc basis for over ten years. The mission for MS thereafter is to create broader solutions for existing and new clients – marrying RWS’ well established language skills and our geographic footprint with visual content management expertise to adapt, manage and activate global marketing communications.
Job purpose
This role is a key part of the Marketing Solutions operation to manage and ensure smooth delivery of existing international search business on a day to day, project by project basis and support and consult new business and new project requests. Key to the role is understanding of international SEO in the context of localisation processes.
Key responsibilities
• Conduct keyword research, content and competitor analysis to better optimise existing content, identify gaps, drive new traffic opportunities and to influence the overall strategy on projects for RWS customers, utilising own skills and experience while also briefing and managing a network of in market search specialist vendors
• Research competitors' link profiles and content to identify link acquisition opportunities.
• Coordinate all activities relating to the execution of local SEO initiatives including outreach and link building projects with our local testing, web experience and marketing teams.
• Prepare, prioritise, opportunity size and maintain project schedules
• Assist with socialising and championing the SEO content strategy amongst various cross-functional partners, providing regular project progress updates to relevant stakeholders client side and internally as requested
• Continuously build network of in-market SEO expert vendors, manage current vendor relationships and help evaluate vendor profiles on existing business against customer needs
• Assess and evaluate impact of SEO initiatives
• Help further develop SEO as a service line in the context of a global localization and content agency to ensure our services are credible, relevant and effective
• Further define and refine SEO service lines to ensure RWS is ahead in the market place
• Consult and input on rate cards relevant to SEO service lines
• Validate, scope, quote and manage new requests across RWS, with a focus on Marketing Solutions customers
Essential Skills
• Proven SEO experience managing and delivering SEO projects to high standards
• Organization, efficiency, and a keen eye for detail.
• Business minded and able to see opportunities for growth and development across different engagement models
• Ability to work simultaneously with various workstreams, stakeholders and various business set ups
• Strong understanding of SEO analytics and research platforms as well as familiarity with various third-party SEO solutions
• Skilled in using SEO analytics tools to answer data related questions both in support of performance reporting and hypothesis definition
• Experience in providing keyword research, forecasts and performance reports around core SEO metrics, including back-links, keyword ranking and traffic
• Specialist understanding of online marketing and web analytics
• Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomatic attitude
• Physical presentation and PPT skills are essential
• Flexible, with ability to prioritise and adapt quickly to changes as necessary
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with different teams
