In this role, you will lead and oversee the facilities management of the operating premise of AstraZeneca Sdn Bhd and AstraZeneca Asia-Pacific Business Services Sdn. Bhd. to ensure a safe, well maintained and conducive work environment. The role is also required to champion and drive the execution of all SHE related matters in accordance to our global SHE policies and related local guidelines.
Role responsibilities
Facilities Management
Leads and coordinates to tasks with external facilities management provider for services including security, building management, parking, cleaning, technology and so on
Ensures AZ facilities management policies and practices meets the government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
Advises the business and management on measures to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness for matters regarding building facilities.
Ensures that basic office facilities are well-maintained and conducts proactive maintenance checks.
Plans for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirements
Coordinates to any renovations, refurbishments and building projects
Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)
Leads and ensures effective and timely implementation and tracking of relevant SHE activities in line with global AZ policies and guidelines
Investigates and reports related SHE incidences and proactively look to learn from SHE related incidences to drive improvements in SHE needs locally
Keep abreast with the latest updates/information of AZ global policies and national Safety, Health and Environment legislation and ensure these updated guidelines are incorporated and actioned on in local company procedures/policies to ensure compliance
Supports in developing and communicating relevant SHE training programmes for own area of the specialist function and to meet legal accountabilities
Continuously develop and cultivate technical expertise and knowledge in SHE and disseminates best practices by sharing knowledge across the organization or relevant functions
Leads and works collaboratively in partnership with business leaders/teams to plan and execute local SHE activities
Essential Requirements
You should have Bachelor Degree in any field
Preferably possessing specialist knowledge in either facilities management and/or Safety, Health and Environment
Proficient in the use of relevant office equipment and systems
Well written and spoken communications
Good partner engagement, able to work independently and applies good judgment
