- Shenzhen office : sourcing & merchandising office (5-15 members)
- Main market : US
- We are looking for SOURCING & MERCHANDISING GENERAL MANAGER – with details as follows :
THE JOB :
- Set up and manage a new China office for the Brand’s sourcing activities in China
- Set up and manage the China office to deliver on sourcing needs across all categories - Apparel, Accessories, Home and Jewelry.
- Define a team structure to deliver on business plans (team structure capabilities should include; Product development, QA, technical and logistics support).
- Identify, hire, onboard and manage the team across categories.
- Manage Vendor Sourcing and Onboarding - identify and onboard vendor base to deliver on the Brand’s product roadmap.
- Align on KPI’s with US team.
- Partner with US product & logistics teams to align on objectives and deliverables.
- Travel to China factories to build relationships and better understand capabilities and product opportunities.
- Align on the roadmap with US Product team and source suppliers to deliver on these products. Oversee the day to day processes - including supporting the development of new products, negotiating deals with factories including fabric positioning and product scale costs.
- Foster relationships with key world-class vendor partners to develop the right assortment at the right cost
- Resolve all day to day questions on logistics, quality, delivery timing & packaging.
- Support logistics and improve on logistics flow - 3PL vs. vendor direct, etc.
- Manage the vendor matrix and identify back up vendors for key categories.
- Train and monitor vendor base to achieve a flawless fulfillment experience
- Work closely with vendors to deliver a zero-defect quality to the Brand’s customers
- Build up the Team from initial 5 members to 15 members in coming 2-5 years
- Report to the Head of Sourcing in US Headquarters
- 5 days work
- Work in Shenzhen office, close to MTR, can daily travel
