Prepare AIA Group of Companies’ IFRS templates and analysis on a quarterly basis by ensuring timely and quality deliverables of the templates for submission to Group Finance for consolidation purpose.

Job Description :


• Support AIA Group of Companies – Local Finance team on relevant matters relating to the IFRS templates and analysis by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries.


• Prepare AIA Group of Companies’ financial statements by ensuring timely and quality financial statements submission to Local Finance team.


• Assist AIA Group of Companies in preparing the calculations and postings of delta ledger to derive the Adjusted Net Worth and Economic Balance Sheet position.


• Support AIA Group of Companies – Local Finance team on relevant matters relating to financial statements including financial audit, by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries.


• Prepare Local BU reporting and analysis on a timely basis for its regulatory reporting purpose.


• Support AIA Group of Companies – Local Finance team on relevant matters relating to the local reporting and analysis by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries.


• Assist the Manager and Assistant Manager in providing coaching, guidance and support for Associates of Reporting and Analysis Unit in performing IFRS templates and analysis, regulatory reporting and analysis, financial statements and other reporting deliverables.


• Develop and recommend areas for enhancements and improvements for the current systems and processes to meet the challenges and needs of stakeholders in relation to the IFRS templates and analysis, regulatory reporting and analysis, financial statements and related areas.


• Participate in projects for any development, design, and implementation of new processes, controls, and functionality changes to existing systems in relation to the IFRS templates, financial statements and other reporting deliverables to improve current processes, controls and overall effectiveness of the team.


• Participate in migration activities with other Business Units within AIA Group of Companies.

Job Requirements


Education:

  • University Degree in Accountancy

  • Pursuing Internationally Recognized Accounting Qualification (ACCA, etc) is an added advantage

Experience:

  • 3 + Years financial reporting and analysis, and investment accounting experience in a multi-national Financial Institution, and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big-size accounting firm

  • Experience in a shared services or similar environment providing financial reporting and analysis services to external/internal stakeholders


Specific Business Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of accounting standards and principles

  • Knowledge in the preparation of management and financial reports and analysis

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.

  • Knowledge of how the SAP Accounting System and Business Intelligence System work and designed, and familiar with using the systems.


Others:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with local and group personnel at various levels

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Willing to travel

  • Ability to speak, read and write in Chinese and Cantonese language is an added advantage
