• Working closely with team manager to drive stability and robustness of Power BI Platform.
• Provide the quality assurance to Power BI solutions developed by the team.
• Provide on-going support for the Power BI solutions in relation to reporting and dashboard visualization needs.
• Ensure all Power BI solutions developed adhered to AIA standards.

Job Description

• Develop and development documentation (Technical specifications) and other relevant documentation as necessary to ensure sustainability of Power BI solutions/platform in compliance to Change Governance.

• Ensure control/validations in place to safeguard the Power BI platform from changes of existing Power BI solution and new solutions being deployed.

• Attending to high complexity of incidents & changes requests for Power BI

• Ensure that proper deployment process in related changes related to incidents & change requests to production system.

• Provide advice to working level team to resolve complex incidents and change requests.

• Provide guidance based on best practices to efficiently implement incident fixes and change requests.

• He or she is solely responsible in ensuring Power BI solutions delivered adhere to AIA programming standards and implement further quality assurance when necessary.

• He or she is expected to identify and drive business process improvements opportunities. In addition, he or she would assist team members to implement business process improvements

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree Information Technology/Systems, or Finance Systems or Business-related degree majoring in computing systems

Experience:

• More than 6 years of Power BI experience.

• Experience with data analyst ideally in an enterprise environment across multiple applications and business functions.

• Experience in full implementation of Business Analytics Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.

• Experience/knowledge in Data Modelling in Power BI to support various business needs.

• Experience to use various sources to pull data into and writing DAX functions in Power BI to achieve reporting needs.

• Experience in scheduling of automatic refresh and scheduling refresh in Power BI service as well as automation of Power Query refresh using power shell script and windows task scheduler.

• Experience in gateway set up for Power BI.

• Prior experience on other Analytics tools such as Tableau will be advantageous.

• Business analysis, consulting/advisory and/or project or client management experience will be advantageous.

• Able to communicate well in English

• Able to write clearly and work within deadlines

• Able to work extended hours when necessary

• Possess personal attributes such as diligent, meticulous, tactful interpersonal skills, professional integrity and initiative

• Keen to learn, a team player and have good working attitude

• MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint, Access, Visio) skills

Certificates/licenses:

• Certification in Microsoft Power BI.

• Certification in other relevant Microsoft products such as Power App and Dynamics will be advantage.
