As an SQE - Electronic Engineer, you will be part of the Electrification Business and Smart Power (BL) Business Line, based in Xiamen. ABB is the world leader in offering the Electrification Products and Systems that provide Building Products, Electrification Solutions, Installation Products, Protection and connection and Medium Voltage Products.

You will responsible for the purchased material alignment with the specification and requirements, supplier quality performance monitoring and lead the electronic team for the continuous improvement with the professional knowledge. Act with safety, efficiency.

Your responsibilities

• Define the electronic material quality standard for new product (work with R&D or Product engineer to define the electronic material quality handbook and incoming material checklist).
• Implement PPAP in supplier and on-site validation to ensure the material quality align with the specification and requirements during normal production.
• Supplier initial sample test report review and cooperate with PE to ensure the quality of components align with the relevant requirements.
• Work with IQC team to define the incoming material strategy, analyze the non-conformity material (incoming, production or customer) and push supplier for improvement to achieve the annual PPM target.
• Participate the electronic internal quality circle for the problem solving, and make sure the PPS action from supplier close on time and in quality.
• Supplier quality performance management, regular communication with supplier for the results and follow up the corrective action.
• Electronic inspection equipment / jig management.
• Enhance supplier quality problem solving capability together with SI engineer.
• Collaboration: Cross function-culture collaboration to ensure that internal and external customer are satisfied.

Your background

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic or similar field.
• More than 2 years working experience, SQE experience is preferred.
• Knowledge in Electronic design, testing and analyze skill.
• Proficient inspection skills and familiar with quality tools. (e.g., PPAP, MSA, CPK, FMEA.).
• Excellent multi-department cooperation skills.
• Fluent in English communication.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and able to handle high volumes of work.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills in order to quickly resolve project related activities and issues.
