SSC General Ledger & Intercompany Accountant

Job Description

    MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle daily intercompany accounting services according to SLA, including:
    • Process intercompany debit credit memo
    • Process intercompany inventory purchase invoice matching
    • Process intercompany payments
    • Issue resolution for billing, payments, accounting documents etc
    • Investigate, follow up and resolve intercompany related issues
    • Assist various month end closing related works
    • Monthly reconciliation of intercompany related balance ad follow up
  • Managing inter-company related service request and handle ad-hoc issues as required
  • Liaises with internal departments for effective solutions to problem resolution
  • Provide periodic reports to local accounting team for their stautory / business requirement
  • Provide KPI reports to internal customer (eg. local country fin)
  • Documents process manual and work instruction manual, and maintain the documents in timely manner
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in adhoc projects

  • REQUIREMENTS


    KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION


    • University Business degree with accounting/finance focus
    • Professional qualification in finance will be highly preferred (e.g. CPA, CIMA, ACCA…)
    • SAP application knowledge and experience preferred
    • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

    JOB EXPERIENCE


    • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with GL/intercompany related accounting experience preferred.

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES


    • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with a particular strength in English. Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Thai, Portuguese will be an advantage.
    • Able to work independently but also a good team player to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships
    • “Can do” attitude and strong execution focus with the ability to work to tight timeline
    • Willing to take additional work load
    • Good interpersonal skills and personality

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS


    • Being flexible to work extended hours and have flexible holiday arrangement to meet local business needs

    • May need to work on Saturday or extended hours in the closing week to meet closing requirement
