Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking to hire an Intern within the Quality Assurance team as part of sustained worldwide growth. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute during the entire software life cycle of our leading CAE/CFD tool Simcenter STAR-CCM+. You will be a key member of the team while working independently to automate test cases and validating the solutions delivered by development. Your uncompromising attention to detail will be required to design, develop, run, monitor, and triage regression tests on a regular basis, while your knowledge and experience will help to improve test coverage, tools and processes. The Intern will document all test case development as well as issues encountered. The Intern will work to resolve open issues, report progress on problem resolution to management and help follow issues through to remediation. The Intern must communicate proactively and effectively with team members locally and globally. Responsibilities: · Develop UI based automated tests and document test scenarios and procedures to verify that our software products and releases meet the established functionality and performance goals. · Coordinate with peers and identify new features requiring automated cases · Test each release of software, documenting and communicating the results of test execution. · Detailed reporting of software defects, communication of risks to leads and follow-up with stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution of issues. · Effectively work with a globally dispersed team. · Participate effectively in cross-functional teams. Required Skills: · Experience in the CFD / CAE industry or Academic experience. · Experience in commercial CAD Packages like NX, CATIA, Creo. · Good understanding of modeling concepts and Geometry cleanup. · Knowledge in CFD workflow and experience in Preprocessing. · Programming knowledge (knowledge/experience with JAVA, C++, Scripting languages like python). · Experience with UI automation using tools such as Eggplant or Squish. · Strong Verbal and written communication skills. "Nice to Have" Skills: · Hands-on experience with STAR-CCM+ CFD Software. · Experience with STARCCM+ CAD clients · Able to create large industrial CAD cases and investigate the failures within STAR-CCM+. · Able to preprocess (CAD Cleanup) the geometry for the CFD analysis. · Additional experience with Ansys or other commercial CFD packages would be an advantage but not essential. · Experience in managing a multi-platform (Windows / Linux) test environment. · Comfortable working a matrix environment. · Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a desire of continuous learning. · Experience in any CAD commercial software in CFD field Join our Digital World We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
