Applies technical communication or instructional design specialization to research, design, and develop innovative information solutions to assist global customers and support their learning needs. Solves highly complex problems related to user-assistance, training, and product use. Conducts audience and task analyses. Performs roles as subject matter expert and/or project manager (70% or less). Mentors less experienced coworkers. Works with product managers, customers, subject matter experts, localization experts, GTAC, sales support, education services. Works with management to determine strategy and major initiatives. Drives strategic level problems, projects, and programs to completion. Works without supervision on the most complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment. Consults with clients and customers. Responsibilities: Lead content writer for engineering education and STEM-based curriculum for secondary schools Collaborate with the content team and product manager to plan, design, develop and manage a digital learning experience and associated resources Manage content development cycles Design & develop learning modules, assessments & assets as needed Collaborate and manage external curriculum/content partners Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and LMD resources to integrate curriculum within our software offering Map cross-walks to standards across state and national frameworks Create assets related to the curriculum to support product marketing and alignments to key business markets Collaborate with peers in other Siemens business segments and regions Create and deliver educator training courses associated with the curriculum Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Experience teaching engineering or STEM within secondary schools Experience with instructional design of engineering and STEM-related curricula using a projectbased learning pedagogy Experience using or teaching engineering technology, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Proven ability to develop guidelines and provide editorial oversight for other content developers Ability to conceptualize and author content using modern multi-media and online publishing patterns and technologies Firm grasp of secondary school pedagogy and applicable curriculum standards Strong understanding of secondary educator needs Understanding of LMS system requirements and standards Understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion requirements that drive highly accessible learning Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills on all levels, including the ability to articulate sophisticated technology concepts simply and concisely Proven collaboration skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively work across organizations to achieve results Fluency in English, Fluency in Spanish is a plus At Siemens we are always challenging ourselves to build a better future.
