We are looking for a STEM program developer to lead our overall curriculum strategy, provide editorial oversight for work produced by others, as well as author learning assets as needed. Responsibilities: Develop a curriculum-based strategy and plan for K-12, with initial emphasis on 6-8 and 9-12 Perform needs analysis and create preliminary architecture design for courseware Editorial oversight for our team of learning asset developers Design & develop learning modules, assessments & assets as needed Collaborate and coordinate with external curriculum/content partners Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and LMD resources to define approaches for integrating curriculum within our software offering Work directly with customers to understand requirements, trends, and obtain product feedback Coordinate with State Education Departments as well as professional associations such as Advance Career (State Directors of CTE), NSTA, ITEEA and others. Coordinate and collaborate with peers in other Siemens business segments Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching STEM within secondary school or higher education Minimum 5 years’ experience designing and developing STEM related curriculum Experience using or teaching engineering technology, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) Understanding of the engineering design process. Proven experience in product design a plus. Proven ability to provide editorial oversight for other curriculum developers Ability to conceptualize and author content using modern multi-media and online publishing patterns and technologies Firm grasp of secondary school pedagogy and applicable curriculum standards, e.g. Next Generation Science Standards and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) Strong understanding of educator requirements for curriculum adoption Understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion requirements that drive highly accessible learning Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills on all levels, including the ability to articulate sophisticated technology concepts simply and concisely Proven collaboration skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively work across organizations to achieve results Master's Degree in education or STEM related field Fluency in English Siemens Industry Software Inc. is a technology supplier to the United States Federal Government.
