This Test Design Professional position will support the research and development of the various LD projects. The individual bring strong laboratory knowledge to help advance the quality, reliability and robustness of Siemens’ next-gen lab diagnostic systems. This position includes development of test methods and protocols, the design and support of a test system, issue investigation, and verification testing. This is classified as 100% onsite as it requires physical presence in the laboratory to perform essential job duties. As a Systems Test Design Professional, you will be responsible for: Create, review, and execute test plans of complex software-enabled, electro-mechanical laboratory equipment. Prepares verification, validation and ad-hoc testing protocols, including advising on appropriate samples and acceptance criteria. Performs sample testing on clinical laboratory systems, following Universal Precaution guidelines (safe management of biohazards). Support execution of test protocols with diligent record keeping and documentation. Will capture anomalies in defect management systems. Evaluates results of testing, provide analysis and summary. Present outcomes to technical audiences. Troubleshoots and analyzes product issues or failures (to include Quality Control failures). Leads or supports investigations, as appropriate. Determines acceptability of test results. Provides input for Quality Management systems for the System Testing Laboratory, following CLIA and ISO standards for Clinical Laboratories Responsible for adhering to all laboratory requirements for New and Altered inspections. Responsible for all safety measures, as issued and outlined by Site EHS. Responsible for maintaining, and calibration, of test equipment Ability to work in a laboratory setting for extended periods of time Responsible for operating the instrumentation lab to simulate customer-like clinical laboratory Maintain instrument documentation, assist in creation of process and procedures to ensure quality testing data of instrumentation. Assist troubleshooting QC and Assay performance data and procedure issues with Management and Assay Lead. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Minimum of 20 years of experience with laboratory system testing to include chemistry and immunoassay Strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a complex, hybrid work environment, remain flexible and agile to switch priorities to meet business needs Strong assay and instrumentation troubleshooting skills Ability to perform instrument qualifications Ability to execute verification testing Minimum of Medical Technology degree, MLS certification through ASCP. 10+ years of Lab Supervisor experience. Experience setting up a medical laboratory QC troubleshooting expert with ability to collaborate with diverse engineering personnel.
