Role:  Account Manager, Biotech Segment
Location: M4 corridor, Oxford, Bristol, Reading, Newbury, Swindon
 
Band 6, Research and Safety Division
 
How will you make an impact?
 
We are looking for a Sales Account Manager who has the experience and understanding of selling lab consumables to the Biotech Sector. You will make an impact by living our 4i values through your everyday interactions (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement) and by influencing and leading by example. The ideal candidate will enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer by enabling the sales business strategy of RSD (Research and Safety Division).
 
What will you do?

As a sales account manager you will be responsible for selling Biotech specific product sales to customers and support supplier partnerships, by actively promoting core products and value added services in order to achieve or exceed sales and margin targets for your designated territory.
You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic and tactical sales plan and maintaining and developing effective customer relationships to ensure continued market penetration and profitability.
The successful candidate will be able to establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate terms and pricing in order to optimize profitability.

How you will get here
 

  • You will sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry, and a sound understanding of the current marketplace for laboratory equipment, consumables and/or chemicals.
  • You will have completed a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in biological life sciences and relevant scientific background to the Biotechnology segment.
  • You do need a full driver’s license and must be able and willing to travel up to 80% to customer locations and attend regional as well as national meetings.
  • You will have fantastic organizational/teamwork, time management, communication, presentation, strategic selling and negotiating skills.
